Background

Since 1995, Scecon has provided scenic elements for the ACC, located in Bethesda, Maryland. The photos above feature the 2001 convention, whose keynote speaker was President George W. Bush. Also of note, at the 2004 convention, First Lady Laura Bush was the keynote speaker.

 

The Design

Scecon designed and fabricated the set you see pictured here which includes custom screen surround, multiple flats that create a massive "building" effect, stage platform and speaker’s podium. Scecon produces staging for ACC on an ongoing basis. These conventions are produced at various locations around the United States.
