The goal of NASA's Digital Learning NetworkTM is straightforward: education.
The implementation of this goal, however, is complex and involves many different channels. The DLN uses multiple instructional methods and technologies to reach students and educators. They provide free, interactive programs to promote education about our home planet and the universe beyond. Video-conferencing and Web casts are utilized so students can participate with education specialists and NASA experts. The Network allows better promotion of NASA’s unique content, facilities, and personnel.
Scecon was asked to design two separate, versatile sets for the far-ranging needs of the DLN. These sets have allowed them to upgrade their image, yet create an overall look consistent with the NASA brand. Students and educators at the pre-college and university levels around the world now have the ability to interact directly with NASA scientists. These sets allow the delivery of education in many forms, fostering a new appreciation for the importance of science.
