The U.S. House of Representatives needed a new design for their Press Briefing Room to take full advantage of the new HD equipment. All the elements of the room were carefully redesigned to take full advantage of new technologies and promote the atmosphere of the House of Representatives.
A design was created before our initial involvement with this project. Normally, we work on all phases of a project, from concept to production, but we were happy to step in as "just the production team" here. Our quality of execution was well noticed, as it won us the contract for the Senate set!
The back wall was produced as laminated flats. It includes two doors on the wings, with insets and build outs. The header is a laminate radial with low voltage light fixtures. The two 10 foot columns were built and finished with laminate and trim details similar to the rest of the stage. Two murals/light-boxes were produced, which included back-lit duratrans prints supplied by the client. A House Seal is a 3-dimensional and graphic print hand painted.
